Corey Knebel picks up the save on Sunday

by Jon Mathisen | White Sox Correspondent | Mon, Apr 5th 11:53am EDT

Corey Knebel picked up his first save of the season on Sunday when he worked a scoreless ninth inning, recording one strikeout and allowing no baserunners in the Dodgers 4-2 win over the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

Kenley Jansen picked up a five-out save on Saturday so he was unavailable to pitch on Sunday. Knebel was given the save opportunity instead and did his job, preserving the game and the series win for the Dodgers. Jansen is still the regular closer for the Dodgers but Knebel should pick up some opportunities here and there moving forward.
