Justin Turner hits first home run of the season on Monday

by Jon Mathisen | Blue Jays Correspondent | Tue, Apr 6th 1:45am EDT

Justin Turner went 2-for-6 with a solo home run, two RBI, and one strikeout as the Dodgers blew out the A's 10-3 on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

Turner was 0-for-4 entering the top of the eighth inning before he took Sergio Romo deep to centerfield for a wall-scraping home run, his first of the season. That put the Dodgers up 9-0 at that point. The A's tacked on three runs in the bottom half of the frame so Turner added an insurance run with an RBI single in the top of the ninth to make it 10-3 Dodgers. The 36-year-old third baseman looks as good as ever, hitting .353 with a .988 OPS through his first 17 at-bats.
