The Nationals opening day roster includes Trea Turner but does not include Josh Bell, Kyle Schwarber, Josh Harrison, Yan Gomes, Alex Avila, Patrick Corbin, Jon Lester, or Brad Hand, according to MASN's Mark Zuckerman. The Nationals are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak that caused them to postpone their first several games and resulted in them placing nine players on the injured list on Tuesday. We don't know who exactly has tested positive and who has merely been identified as a close contact, but the Nationals are expected to shorthanded for at least the next few days and likely longer. Lester and Patrick Corbin are two members of the starting rotation who figure to miss a minimum of one start.
