Ryan Pressly earns win following two scoreless innings of relief work

by Andersen Pickard | Astros Correspondent | Tue, Apr 6th 9:15pm EDT

Astros reliever Ryan Pressly took over in the eighth inning of a tie game against the Angels on Tuesday. He was solid in relief, allowing just two hits and zero runs over two innings. He struck out two batters, as well. Pressly's stability out of the bullpen allowed time for Houston to score two runs in the top of the ninth, giving the Astros the victory and Pressly his first win of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Pressly is now 22-22 in his career with a 3.39 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 386 outings. He has been a key member of the Twins' and Astros' bullpens and continues to succeed into his age-32 season. Through three innings of work this year, he has allowed three hits, one walk, and zero runs while striking out three. The right-hander ranks ninth among relievers in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
