Edwin Rios blasts first long ball of the season
by Jon Mathisen | Wed, Apr 7th 1:47am EDT
Edwin Rios went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in the Dodgers 5-1 win over the A's on Tuesday in Oakland.
Fantasy Impact:
Rios was able to get the start at third base with Justin Turner slotting into the lineup as the DH. Rios crushed a Chris Bassitt curveball over the wall in right-center field for his first tater of the year. Rios has tremendous upside, which is capped due to the fact he can't get everyday at-bats at the moment. He's a solid deep league stash or streaming option in standard leagues whenever he's starting, though. His power upside combined with the lineup protection he receives on the Dodgers is a productive combination.
