Justin Dunn walks eight in start Wednesday

by Ari Koslow | Thu, Apr 8th 2:02am EDT

Justin Dunn took the no-decision Wednesday against the White Sox, allowing three runs (all earned) one one hit with three strikeouts and eight walks.

Fantasy Impact:

Control was an issue for Dunn last season, and we saw that firsthand once again in his first start of the 2021 season Wednesday. He allowed just one hit, but his control was all over the place, walking four hitters in the first two innings. Dunn was able to settle in, throwing a 1-2-3 inning in the 3rd and 4th inning before walking the bases loaded in the fifth inning. Dunn was able to get Jose Abreu to pop up for the second out of the inning before walking Yasmani Grandal on four pitches when he was taken out. He left with the bases loaded when reliever Will Vest allowed a two-run single with both of those runs being charged to Dunn. He is currently scheduled to start next on April 14 against the Orioles, where he will look to rebound on the mound.
