Canning gave up three hits and four earned runs in 5.1 innings of work on Thursday. Canning struck out seven batters and gave up one walk in an Angels' 7-5 win over the Blue Jays.
Fantasy Impact:
Canning struggled in his first start of the 2021 campaign, giving up three runs in his first inning of work. It is worth noting, however, that Canning settled in quite well until the fifth inning, when he gave up his fourth run of the contest. Canning will look to rebound when his turn in the rotation comes back around. In the meantime, Canning remains off of most fantasy radars.
