Walker Buehler shuts down the Nats over six innings

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Fri, Apr 9th 7:48pm EDT

RHP Walker Buehler picked up his first win of the year on Friday, allowing six hits and no runs with four strikeouts over six innings in the Dodgers 1-0 win over the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact:

Buehler quieted the Nationals' bats all afternoon, allowing no extra-base hits and not walking anyone. He threw 90 pitches through his six innings but the Dodgers were able to take the lead in the bottom half of the frame via a Justin Turner solo home run. The Dodgers pen shut the door on Washington so Buehler was able to pick up his first win of the season. He'll take a sparkling 1.50 ERA and 0.83 WHIP into his next start at home vs. the Rockies.
