Josh Donaldson (hamstring) progressing well, could return after weekend

by Matt Flipi | Sat, Apr 10th 12:44pm EDT

Josh Donaldson (hamstring) sprinted and ran the bases on Saturday, according to manager Rocco Baldelli. Baldelli also indicated Donaldson will take grounders at 3B and take BP this weekend. It's possible Donaldson could return Monday or Tuesday. (Do-Hyoung Park on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Donaldson hasn't played since injuring his hamstring on Opening Day. It's a good sign that the 35 year old is progressing well in his recovery, and the Twins will hope to have their third baseman back early next week. Luis Arraez has been raking in Donaldson's absence, so the Twins will face the difficult task of figuring out how to get Arraez into the lineup frequently when Donaldson returns.
