Riley Smith picks up a quality start and the win on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Sun, Apr 11th 11:39am EDT

RHP Riley Smith picked up his first win of the season on Saturday when he allowed just two runs on eight hits with two strikeouts and one walk over six innings as the Diamondbacks took down the Reds 8-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Smith was able to hold down the explosive Cincinnati offense over his six innings of work on Saturday. He did surrender eight hits but only allowed a couple of runs courtesy of a pair of RBI singles from Nick Senzel and Jonathan India in the second inning. The D-Backs offense was able to put some runs on the board so Smith picked up his first win of the season. He'll carry his 3.27 ERA and 1.55 WHIP into his next start in D.C. against the Nationals.
