Jordan Hicks got in some work during a losing effort on Sunday, throwing 23 pitches (with only 10 strikes) across 1 1/3 innings while issuing two walks and recording two strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
Hicks has now pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings this season with four strikeouts and has only surrendered one hit (and three walks). Alex Reyes appears to have a firm grip on the closer role in St. Louis for the time being, so Hicks will likely continue to work in a set-up role for the foreseeable future. He's a solid option in leagues that utilize holds or points leagues, but the lack of saves chances has crushed his value in standard leagues in the early part of the season.
