German Marquez strikes out seven but allows three runs Sunday

by Andersen Pickard | Rockies Correspondent | Sun, Apr 11th 6:57pm EDT

Sunday was a bittersweet day for Rockies starter German Marquez, who notched a season-high seven strikeouts but also surrendered three runs. In addition to the scoring, Marquez allowed six hits and three walks. He was pulled from the game after 5.2 innings and was hit with the loss.

Fantasy Impact:

The right-hander owns a 4.02 ERA over 15.2 innings this year, striking out 14 and walking 11. Interestingly, he has yet to record a win or loss this season, instead notching a trio of no-decisions. The 26-year-old right-hander still has plenty of upside for the rest of the season as he ranks 51st among pitchers in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
