Dylan Cease allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out six across four 2/3 innings during Sunday’s 4-3 loss to the Royals. He did not factor into the decision.

Cease limited the Royals to one run but failed to reach the fifth inning in his second consecutive start. He threw 90 pitches, landing 50 for strikes. The 25-year-old owns a 3.86 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and nine strikeouts across nine 1/3 innings in 2021. Cease will look to earn his first win of the season when the White Sox visit the Red Sox on Friday.
