Zac Gallen goes four innings in season-debut on Tuesday

by Jon Mathisen | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Tue, Apr 13th 9:01pm EDT

RHP Zac Gallen allowed one run on three hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over four innings the Diamondbacks 7-5 loss to the A's on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

This was more a tuneup start for Gallen, who was making his 20 debut after suffering a hairline fracture in his forearm in late March. He only went four innings and threw 82 pitches, scattering three hits and walking a pair of batters. His only mistake was serving up a solo home run to Stephen Piscotty in the top of the fourth inning. He gets the Reds on the road in his next start, which should be a good test for the talented right-hander.
