Drawing a start at second base on Tuesday. Matt Carpenter went 1-for-4 with two runs, three RBI, and his first home run of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Carpenter entered the night hitting just 1-for-14 on the season (.071) but turned on an elevated fastball from Stephen Strasburg in the bottom of the third inning and homered down the right field line. Despite the big fly tonight, the 35-year-old veteran can be ignored in fantasy leagues.
