Jesus Luzardo took the no-decision Tuesday against Arizona, allowing five runs (all earned) on six hits over 2.2 innings with one strikeout and two walks.
After a 1-2-3 first inning, Luzardo saw his command take a hit in the next inning. After Asdrubal Cabrera singled and David Peralta walked, Carson Kelly blasted a three-run home run with one out to give Arizona an early 3-0 lead. Luzardo was hit hard again the following inning with Arizona racking up three straight hits capped off with an RBI double by Cabrera. The Athletics were able to battle back from a 5-0 deficit, saving Luzardo from taking the loss.
