Blake Snell struggles, doesn't make it out of the first inning on Tuesday

Blake Snell pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up 3 earned runs in the Padres' loss to the Pirates on Tuesday. Snell struck out 1 and walked 2 in the outing.

Fantasy Impact:

Snell had a rough go of it in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Snell was pulled after throwing 38 pitches and only getting two outs in the first inning. He struggled with command, walking two and giving up three hits in the short outing. Snell has struggled with command in his first three starts, which explains why he only has 10 innings pitched so far this year. High pitch counts early in games have been Snell's Achilles' heel in 2021. Snell now has a 4.35 ERA on the year, and things won't get any easier in his next start which is projected to be against the Dodgers.
