Chris Paddack gave up 1 earned run in 5 innings pitched in the Padres' win over the Pirates on Thursday. Paddack struck out 4 and walked 2 in the outing.
Fantasy Impact:
Paddack had his best start so far this season in Pittsburgh on Thursday. Paddack only gave up 1 earned run, and was able to make it through the 5th inning to earn his first win of 2021. Paddack needed a good outing after struggling in his first two starts of the year. Paddack is still struggling to strike guys out, and his strikeout and walk rates are a bit concerning through 3 starts. Still, Thursday was a step in the right direction for Paddack. He'll hope to carry this momentum into his next start against the Brewers next week.
