Adrian Houser (1-2) took the loss Friday against the Pirates, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk in 4.1 innings. He struck out three.
Houser looked to be in control early on, only allowing a solo homer to Colin Moran in the second. But, he was chased in the fifth after allowing three consecutive baserunners. Houser has been pretty unimpressive this season, registering a 3.14 ERA and 1.53 WHIP in 14.1 innings while striking out 10 and walking seven. He should remain in the rotation for now, but isn't an attractive fantasy option. He'll take on the Padres next on Wednesday.
