Anthony DeSclafani locks up another quality start in Friday's no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Twins Correspondent | Sat, Apr 17th 11:44am EDT

RHP Anthony DeSclafani earned a quality start and a no-decision on Friday when he surrendered one run on four hits with four strikeouts and no walks over six innings in the Giants 4-1 loss to the Marlins in Miami.

Fantasy Impact:

DeSclafani looked sharp on Friday, keeping the Fish off balance with his fastball and slider combination. His counterpart on the other side, Dan Castano, also did an excellent job, which prevented DeSclafini from factoring into the decision for the second time this season. The 30-year-old right-hander is quietly having an excellent season, registering a 1.06 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 16:4 K/BB ratio over 17 innings (three starts). He gets the Phillies in his next start and if he performs well there then you can expect his stock to skyrocket as he's just rostered in 35% of Yahoo! leagues currently.
