Rangers starter Mike Foltynewicz dropped to 0-3 on Friday after a poor outing against the Orioles. The 29-year-old right-hander allowed five runs on seven hits (two homers) and a walk. He did strike out six batters in the effort.
While the eight-year MLB veteran is off to a poor start from a statistics standpoint (03 record, 5.63 ERA) in 2021, he was able to post a solid start in his second outing as he allowed just one run over seven innings. Perhaps we'll gain more clarity on his season outlook when he takes the mound against the Angels next Wednesday.
