Sean Newcomb (undisclosed) has been placed on the 10-day IL. The Braves haven't stated why Newcomb needed to be placed on the IL. Stay tuned for more updates.
Fantasy Impact:
Newcomb was off to a fantastic start as a high-leverage reliever for the Braves this season. He has a 2.10 xFIP, and 12 strikeouts in five and one-third innings pitched. Because of the undisclosed nature of Newcomb's injury, there is early speculation that it could be related to COVID protocols, but as of right now, that's just a rumor.
