Luke Weaver hit around by the Nationals on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Yankees Correspondent | Sat, Apr 17th 6:17pm EDT

RHP Luke Weaver took the loss on Saturday when he allowed four runs on nine hits with three strikeouts over four innings as the D-Backs lost to the Nationals 6-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Weaver was coming off a superb one-hit, seven-inning gem vs. the Reds in his last start but he labored through four innings on Saturday. The Nationals tagged him up for nine hits and four runs over four innings. Weaver wasn't very efficient, either, needing 94 pitches to get through his outing. He still has a solid 3.78 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and 14:1 K/BB ratio over 16 2/3 innings (three starts). He'll face the Braves on the road in his next start, which should be a stiff test for the 27-year-old.
