Kwang Hyun Kim goes just three innings in season debut, gives up three runs

Cardinals southpaw Kwang Hyun Kim (back) made his season debut against the Phillies on Saturday, pitching three innings (68 pitches) while giving up five hits, three earned runs, and a walk while punching out four in a 9-4 Cardinals victory.

Fantasy Impact:

The 32-year-old went 3-0 in seven starts in 2020 with a 1.62 ERA and 1.03 WHIP as a rookie with 24 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched. He's worth a look in deeper leagues if you need pitching help, although he offers very little strikeout upside and also has a tough matchup next weekend vs. Cincinnati so tread carefully.
