Victor Gonzalez earns first save of the year on Saturday

LHP Victor Gonzalez earned his first save of the season on Saturday when he worked out of a jam in the bottom of the ninth inning in a 2-0 win over the Padres.

Fantasy Impact:

Blake Treinen pitched the eighth inning and came back out in the ninth for the save. He struck out Manny Machado before Wil Myers reached base with a single. Manager Dave Roberts then lifted Treinen and brought in Gonzalez, who walked Jurickson Profar before inducing a Jake Cronenworth groundout, that advanced both runners. He then got Tommy Pham to line out to Mookie Betts in center field, who made a magnificent diving catch to seal the game. Gonzalez really only has value in SVH leagues as this was first save opportunity of the season.
