Yu Darvish gave up 1 earned run in 7 innings pitched in the Padres' loss to the Dodgers on Saturday. Darvish struck out 9 in the outing and walked 2.
Fantasy Impact:
Darvish had his best start of the year so far against a strong Dodgers' lineup on Saturday. Darvish's only earned run came after he walked Clayton Kershaw with the bases loaded in the top of the 5th. Unfortunately for Darvish, he received no run support from his offense and took the loss despite a fantastic performance. Darvish won't get a break in his next start, as he's projected to start against the Dodgers again in Los Angeles later this week. Darvish has flown a bit under the radar this year, but his numbers have been strong. He has posted a 2.55 ERA and 0.81 WHIP through 4 starts.
