Dallas Keuchel picks up the win in Sunday’s Game 1 win over the Red Sox

Dallas Keuchel (1-0) allowed two runs on six hits while striking out one across five innings during Game 1 of Sunday’s 3-2 win over the Red Sox. He picked up his first win of the season.

Keuchel was efficient and didn’t walk a batter for the first time in his last four starts. He was pulled in the sixth inning after yielding a solo home run to Enrique Hernandez. The left-hander threw 67 pitches, landing 42 for strikes. Keuchel owns a 5.68 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 10 strikeouts across 19 innings in 2021. He will look to keep the momentum going into his next start Saturday at home against the Rangers.
