by Lucas Spence | Tigers Correspondent | Mon, Apr 19th 10:33pm EDT

Jack Flaherty pitched six innings in a victory over the Nationals on Monday, giving up six hits, five runs (two earned), two walks and notching five strikeouts to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Flaherty was given ample run support, as the Cardinals knocked Nationals starter Joe Ross around for 10 runs on their way to a 12-5 win. Flaherty threw 107 pitches and recorded his second quality start of the season as well. The right-hander now owns a 3.80 ERA and 1.13 WHIP heading into a weekend matchup against the Reds, who he struggled against in poor weather conditions on Opening Day.
