Brandon Belt picks up third homer of the year in Monday's win

by Jon Mathisen | Tue, Apr 20th 1:13am EDT

First baseman Brandon Belt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in the Giants 2-0 win over the Phillies on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

Belt was responsible for the only runs scored in the ball game on Monday when he parked a two-run tater off Chase Anderson in the third inning. It was his only hit of the day. The veteran third baseman has reached base safely in five straight games and has picked up at least one hit in three consecutive contests. His .211/.318/.500 batting line still leaves a lot to be desired but he's showing signs of improvement.
