Dustin May handed first loss of the season on Monday

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Tue, Apr 20th 1:58am EDT

RHP Dustin May took the loss on Monday when he surrendered four runs (three earned) on four hits with one walk and eight strikeouts over five innings as the Dodgers lost to the Mariners 4-3.

Fantasy Impact:

May ran into trouble right away allowing a single and a home run in the first inning. Jose Marmolejos pulled a wall scraper to right field to put the M's up 2-0 in the first frame. Taylor Trammell then took May deep for a solo shot in the second innings. Trammell also hit an RBI double in the fourth inning but the run was unearned due to a Chris Taylor throwing error. The big right-hander still managed eight strikeouts and only walked one batter so it wasn't a terrible outing. May will take his 2.93 ERA and 1.11 WHIP into his next start against San Diego.
