Julian Merryweather (oblique) is not expected to be activated from the IL when first eligible on April 24th.
Fantasy Impact:
Merryweather had emerged as the top closing option for the Jays during the first week of the season. Oblique injuries generally take about five weeks to recover from, which would put his return sometime at the end of May. The 29-year-old was averaging 98.2 MPH on his fastball and 80.8 MPH on his change-up before hitting the IL.
