Giovanny Gallegos yields two runs, takes loss on Tuesday

by Lucas Spence | Cardinals Correspondent | Tue, Apr 20th 11:51pm EDT

Giovanny Gallegos was uncharacteristically wild on Tuesday night, pitching just 2/3 of an inning and issuing three walks, hitting a batter, and giving up a hit and two earned runs. Giovanny was charged with a loss and falls to 2-1 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Gallegos entered in the eighth inning with a 2-1 lead and promptly walked and plunked the first two batters he faced. Trea Turner then tied the game with an RBI single. Gallegos would later walk Yan Gomes with the bases loaded to force in the go-ahead run. After the rough outing, Gallegos now owns a 3.72 ERA on the year and is only worth a roster spot in leagues that utilize holds or deeper points formats.
