RHP Zac Gallen allowed three runs on four hits with four walks and six strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings on Tuesday vs. the Reds. The game was suspended in the eighth inning due to inclement weather.
Gallen kept the Reds off the scoreboard through the first two frames but started to scuffle in the third inning when Tyler Naquin knocked in a run with a groundout. He then allowed an RBI single to Kyle Farmer in the fourth inning. He walked a batter in the fifth inning with two outs and was replaced by Yoan Lopez, who served up a two-run blast to Kyle Farmer. It wasn't a great start by Gallen but it was far from a disaster. He made it through with no issues but showed some struggles with his command, hence the four free passes. He'll take his 3.72 ERA and 1.34 WHIP into his next start vs. the Braves in Atlanta.
