Batting second and patrolling the keystone, Ryan McMahon went 1-for-4 on Tuesday as the Rockies defeated the Astros, 6-2. He singled and scored in the contest. He also added one strikeout and left three runners stranded.

McMahon is slashing .266/.277/.609 so far this season. Interestingly enough, the batting average and slugging percentage are both career-highs while the OBP is a career-worst. This suggests that McMahon has been seeing and hitting the ball well but has lacked the patience to draw walks. Indeed, he has just one free pass compared to 13 strikeouts this season. McMahon has some fantasy relevance right now, ranking 24th among second basemen in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
