Stefan Crichton picks up second save of the year

by Jon Mathisen | Wed, Apr 21st 9:04pm EDT

RHP Stefan Crichton earned his second save of the season on Wednesday when he allowed one hit with one strikeout over a scoreless ninth inning in the D-Backs 5-4 win over the Reds.

Fantasy Impact:

This was a continuation of Tuesday night's game that was suspended due to inclement weather. Crichton allowed a single to Jesse Winker but retired the other three batters with a flyout, popout, and strikeout. It's worth noting that Kevin Ginkel pitched the eighth inning in this one, which led to Crichton getting his second save opportunity of the season. His rate stats are nothing special with a 3.52 ERA, 1.70 WHIP, and 7:4 K/BB ratio (7 2/3 innings) but it looks like he's going to get the save chances, for now, in Arizona.
