Rockies reliever Yency Almonte threw a scoreless eighth inning against the Astros on Sunday, preserving what was a four-run lead at the time. He didn't allow any hits or walks in the effort, nor did he strike anyone out.
Fantasy Impact:
Through nine games, Almonte owns a too-high 7.88 ERA. He's added eight strikeouts and 1.63 WHIP over eight innings of work. When Almonte is throwing well, he's impressive. In fact, he has six scoreless outings. All three of his other appearances were multi-run affairs.
