Miguel Cabrera takes batting practice on field

Fantasy Impact:
This is another step in the former Triple Crown winner's return to play. He took batting practice in the cage on Tuesday and re-emerged into the chilly Detroit air on Thursday. He slashed just .125/.222/.292 prior to his injury but could be worth stashing in deeper leagues. Cabrera ranks 40th among designated hitters in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
