David Peralta erupts for seven RBI on five hits

by Jon Mathisen | Cubs Correspondent | Thu, Apr 22nd 6:21pm EDT

Outfielder David Peralta went 5-for-6 with a home run, a triple, seven RBI, and two runs scored as the D-Backs took down the Reds 14-11 in extra-innings on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact:

Peralta had gotten off to a slower start this season, as of Wednesday he was slashing just .213/.304/.361. He certainly made up for lost time on Thursday when he exploded for five hits and seven RBI. He fell just a double shy of the cycle as he smacked a two-run dinger, his second of the year, in the top of the sixth and then a bases-clearing triple in extra-innings. The 33-year-old is now rocking a healthy .269/.347/.478 batting line over 67 at-bats this season. His roster shares are about to spike across fantasy leagues.
