Marlins starter Dan Castano allowed three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over five innings in Thursday's loss to the San Francisco Giants.

Castano has pitched to solid numbers through his minor league and brief major league career, but he has never been a high-strikeout pitcher, making him more prone to bad luck over time.
