Walker Buehler takes a no-decision on Thursday vs. Padres

by Jon Mathisen | Dodgers Correspondent | Fri, Apr 23rd 11:57am EDT

RHP Walker Buehler was handed a no-decision on Thursday when he allowed two runs on four hits with nine strikeouts over seven innings in the Dodgers' 3-2 loss to the Padres.

Fantasy Impact:

Buehler entered Thursday having struck out four batters in each of his three starts to begin the season. He more than doubled that output against the Padres, striking out nine over his seven innings of work. Manny Machado knocked an RBI single off him in the fourth inning while Trent Grisham blasted a solo home run in the sixth. Despite the overall lack of strikeouts, the 26-year-old is having an excellent start to the season. He's earned four consecutive quality starts and owns a 2.16 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 21:1 K/BB ratio over 25 innings. He'll get the Reds' at home in his next turn, which should be a stiff test.
