Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Friday's win over the Phiillies. He also walked once in the effort.

The 31-year-old brought himself right back to the Mendoza line as he's now slashing .200/.313/.382 with 11 hits, nine RBI, and nine runs this season. His homer on Friday represented his second in three days. He had yet to hit one over the first 14 games, so this sudden show of power is relieving. He ranks 26th among first basemen in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
