Taylor Rogers picks up save Friday

by Matthew Adam | Giants Correspondent | Sat, Apr 24th 7:33am EDT

Minnesota reliever Taylor Rogers got the final two outs of a 2-0 win over the Pirates to earn his first save of the season on Friday. Rogers struck out one in the outing.

Fantasy Impact:

It was Rogers, and not closer Alex Colome, who was called upon to save the game. Rogers has been excellent thus far in 2021, throwing 8 1/3 scoreless innings while striking out 10. Colome hasn't been very effective this season, so Friday night could have been a signal of a changing of the guard in Minnesota.
