Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski has officially been diagnosed with a left oblique strain. The injury is not considered to be anything major. Giants manager Gabe Kapler commented on the matter, stating that he hopes Yaz will be able to avoid IL time. The expectation is for him to miss about a week's worth of games. If it heals quicker than expected, he could be back sooner. (Susan Slusser on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Yastrzemski hasn’t exactly been raking this season. He currently holds a .215 batting average, 4 home runs, and only 6 RBIs. The expectation is that this injury won’t require him to miss a large period of time, and that Yaz will regain his 2020 form and heat up as the season goes on.
