Yermin Mercedes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Game 2 of Thursday’s doubleheader against the Tigers.

Mercedes sat in Game 1 but started at DH and batted fifth in Game 2 of Thursday’s doubleheader. He took Alex Lange deep in the fifth inning for his fifth long ball of the season. The Yerminator is one of the biggest surprised in 2021 and is slashing .423/.464/.729 across 84 plate appearances.
