Trevor Bauer takes tough luck loss on Thursday

by Jon Mathisen | Fri, Apr 30th 11:21am EDT

RHP Trevor Bauer took the loss on Thursday when he surrendered two runs on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts over eight innings as the Dodgers lost to the Brewers 2-1.

Fantasy Impact:

Bauer certainly pitched well enough to get the win on Thursday but the Dodgers' bats were unable to pick him up. He only allowed four hits and a pair of walks but Travis Shaw got him for a two-run home run in the fourth inning, which was enough to seal the win for Milwaukee. Bauer has still been excellent to start the season, notching five straight quality starts. He now owns an impressive 2.48 ERA, 0.68 WHIP, and 51:8 K/BB ratio over 40 innings (six starts). He gets a date with the light-hitting Cubs in his next turn.
