May was in pain after throwing a pitch in the second inning and “appeared to be in quite discomfort.” He was removed from the game and left with the trainers in the second frame. The severity of his injury is unknown at this time and an update will be provided after the game. May allowed one run on one hit and one walk while striking out three across one 1/3 innings before exiting.
