Lucas Giolito (1-3) allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out eight across five 1/3 innings in Sunday’s 5-0 loss to Cleveland. He was tagged with his third loss of the season.

Giolito surrendered a solo shot to Cesar Hernandez in the third inning and yielded another run in the fourth frame in Sunday’s loss. He threw 97 pitches, landing 59 for strikes. The White Sox provided no run support and he was tagged with his third straight loss. Giolito owns a 4.99 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts across 30 2/3 innings in 2021. The White Sox ace will look for better results in next weekend’s series against the Royals.
