Rangers right fielder Joey Gallo went 2-for-4 against the Twins on Monday. He stroked a single and also launched a two-run home run in the top of the ninth. His blast pulled Texas within one run, but they were unable to capitalize and close this gap. Gallo scored twice but also truck out twice.
The 27-year-old is now slashing .234/.410/.351 with an MLB-most 47 strikeouts and an AL-most 25 walks. It's been such an interesting storyline for the slugger, who has clobbered just three home runs this year after hitting 103 from 2017-19. He ranks 33rd among outfielders in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
