Jon Heyman of the MLB Network is reporting that Mets ace Jacob deGrom was scratched from Tuesday’s start against the Cardinals due to side tightness. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

deGrom’s injury is being described as right-side tightness. He is expected to miss just one start as the Mets want to ensure the issue doesn't linger. deGrom owns a 0.51 ERA, 0.57 WHIP and 59:4 K: BB across 35 innings in 2021. Miguel Castro will start in deGrom’s place on Tuesday.
