Ryan Howard takes the collar in loss to Marlins

by Kerry Kauffman | Thu, Apr 23rd 12:03am EDT

Ryan Howard hit his first home run of the season on Tuesday, but went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in the Phillies 6-1 loss to the Marlins on Wednesday. Howard is now hitting .196 on the season and has struck out 17 times in 46 at-bats.

Fantasy Impact:

Howard has scored just two runs and walked three times so far this season. He likely will get a day off sometime this week and fantasy owners must consider whether or not to keep waiting for Howard to break out of his early season slump.
